This is such a sensitive topic and doesn't get talked about very much. Women don't really know their options out there. We spend 1,000s of dollars to have little to no results. Minoxidil (Rogaine), shampoos, and stuff of that nature that promise to regrow your hair are temporary. YES, it does grow fresh baby hairs, and It can slow down hair loss. However, the benefits go away when you stop using it. These work primarily by blocking the hormones that cause hair loss or improving blood flow to certain areas of your scalp. Then there are personal care products such as shampoos, which aim to slow down hair loss and stimulate new hair growth. Then there are laser hair growth treatments and hair bands. This is supposed to stimulate hair follicles, with claims suggesting that regular use of laser therapy can improve the supply of blood and nutrients to your hair. Evidence is lacking in laser treatments.
Interesting fact - Did you know it's normal to shed between 50 and 100 hairs a day. When the body sheds significantly more hairs every day, a person has excessive hair shedding.The medical term for this condition is telogen effluvium.
SMP is a great alternative or added addition to anything you are doing. With density fill it will give your hair volume by hiding your scalp with replicated hair follicles. SMP is not a miracle solution. It will never grow your hair back; unfortunately, nothing on the market will 100% grow all your hair back. However, taking steps to maintain the hair you still have SMP, is a great option to give you some confidence. There are great options such as stem cells, mesotherapy, micro-needling, etc., which will help keep your hair healthy and can even grow back thin baby hairs. The only problem with this is you must maintain the treatment to keep those baby hairs in place. Hair transplants are another alternative that works, but it requires multiple procedures and 20,000-30,000 to achieve the fullness you are trying to achieve. One hair transplant will not give you the desired look you are wanting. My Husband has 2 hair transplants before he found out about SMP. Now he has that as well!!
For those women that can pull off a shaved head look, SMP is amazing! We can give you the look of a fresh shaved haircut everyday. Honestly, I totally admire these women that can sport this look. It takes a lot of confidence and let's not forget to mention how sexy these women look. Is it a confidence thing? Or do they have the perfect shape head for it? Either way women don't stop rocking that look if it fits you... and who knows maybe it would fit me or any other female out there if we just gave it a chance...
