SCAR & STRETCH MARK CAMOUFLAGE & REMOVAL

ABOUT SCARS & STRETCH MARK REMOVAL & CAMOUFLAGE

They are also known as Scar Camouflage or Micropigmentation.

Here at NUDETATU, we like to call it:

"Skin Camouflage"

We camouflage more than just scars

Birthmarks, Vitiligo, Traditional Tattoos, Dark Undereye Circles

Skin Discolorations such as Dark(Hyper) Underarms, Sunspots, and more

"Nude Tattoos"

Some of the clients that come to us have never had a traditional tattoo before,

so we joke with them that they are finally getting a tattoo!!

However, this tattoo no one will ever see because it will be a "Nude Tattoo" - hence our name NUDETATU

Scar revision or scar treatment

is a form of medical or paramedical tattoo that can reduce the appearance of scars

by adding pigments(colors) to the skin.

Since stretch marks are technically scar, we use the same camouflaging treatments as we do for stretch marks

and other skin conditions;

Inkless, Ink Camouflage, and a combination of them both.

Redlands Medical Spa & fACIALS

HOW MUCH DOES SCAR and STRETCH MARK TATTOO CAMOUFLAGE COST?

Here at NudeTatu, we try and not charge per session as that can get costly. We like to give our clients a treatment package to help save you money. We can also combine treatment areas for you for a bigger and better discount than charging individually! The choice is yours!

Choose individual sessions or ask us about our bundle packages and multiple area discounts!!!

Sessions are booked for 4hr time blocks or less depending on the treatment.

Additional sessions & or Days will/may be needed for multiple areas requiring more time at no additional charge

If a certain day allows us to provide a longer session we will, but it is not guaranteed.

4 hrs seems to be a good amount of time for our clients

and you don't normally want to go longer than this per session as numbing cream wears off, and pain receptors are heightened

SCAR & STRETCH MARK CAMOUFLAGE REMOVAL PRICES-

This is just an estimate and example to give you an idea

This all depends on the area's size needing treatment and the severity of the scars/stretch marks. Bigger and more problematic areas will require additional treatments of the same area to achieve the desired results. On average most places, prices go from as little as $300 for the smaller area (scar) and up to $1500 per section for bigger areas (stretch marks), with total cost averaging around $3,000.

The number of sessions is dependent on scar tissue and you may want to relax the scar with dry needling only first before we go into camouflage. Please do not hesitate to call and set up a consultation to talk and find out your options if you find that easier
Payment options are available to help break up the cost. Your credit card will be put on file and/or through our Automatic Draft System.  If you wish to have a payment plan please inform us before your session so we can have the paperwork and terms ready for you before your first session

FAQs

What are Scars?

What is the treatment for Scar Removal? Scars never completely go away, but skin needling and camouflage can be used to reduce the size and shape of the scars to help you feel more confident about your appearance. The benefit of treating the scars with skin needling and camouflage is that you experience little to no discomfort and return to your normal activities shortly after treatment.

What is Skin Needling?

Skin needling is our Inkless Treatments. We use a mix of serums, organic oils, vitamins, and nutrients under the skin to improve cellular turnover, reconstruction, and rejuvenation of Fibroblast cells, Collagen, and Elastin. Whether they're red, purple, or white, this natural treatment can reduce your stretch marks by 20%-100% after just one session.

What is Skin Camouflage?

Covering your scar with a flesh-colored tattoo can come by many names, including scar camouflage, corrective pigment camouflage, and skin color tattooing, to name a few. Still, the most common term is scar camouflage.

This technique also smooths out and relaxes the texture of scars by using digital needling to generate micro-trauma to the skin. This stimulates the body's wound-healing response, leaving your scars more even and less taut.

Inkless Camouflage is different and can start almost immediately in many cases. Since our inkless method contains natural products.. such as oils, vitamins, plant stem cells, etc These custom-made serums are full of antioxidants that help prevent cellular damage and help wounds heal better, and improve the appearance of scars. Coming to us early enough can play a huge difference in the visibility and texture of the scar/stretch marks.

DOES THIS SCAR CAMOUFLAGE TREATMENT REMOVE SCARS & STRETCH MARKS?

Brazilian Scar & Stretchmark Tattoos only help conceal and diminish the appearance so that they are less perceptible to the naked eye. Think of it as having a permanent filter, taking away the white contrast, AND ALLOWING IT TO BLEND IN WITH YOUR SURROUNDING SKIN INKLESS (DryNeedling) has the ability to naturally improve scar and skin texture by rebuilding the collagen and fibroblast cells

Is the Scar Removal procedure uncomfortable?

Most patients remain comfortable during the procedure with only a topical numbing agent. However, the Stretch Mark Camouflage Tattoo is a penetrative skin procedure, so a small amount of discomfort may be experienced.

Now Without numbing- on a scale of 1-10 (10 being most painful), the average consensus is a 6 or 7. HOWEVER, To help ease the pain more tolerably, we will numb the area using numbing cream. This allows for a pretty painless procedure.

NOTE: your pain receptors will be heightened if you're on your monthly cycle or have had a Covid Shot or Booster within the past 30 days. We suggest you book your session/touch-ups accordingly.

After your procedure, you may experience mild discomfort that lasts only a few days. However, it can feel similar to the recovery of a light sunburn during healing.

What areas of the body can you treat?

Almost any place, you have a scar! However, we are one of the few places that work with DARK SCARS- Scars with hyperpigmentation.

Before starting any type of Ink Camouflage (micro pigmentation), We would like stretch marks to be at least 2 years old and scars to be at least 6 months to a 1-year-old, depending on the scar. If Stretch Marks/Scars are recent look into our INKLESS Camouflage treatments instead

What is the cost of Scar Removal?

The cost of any procedure varies from patient to patient, depending on the needed level of correction. Our fees will be discussed with you during your consultation, and package pricing is offered. You will find our prices to be very fair and competitive for the Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino areas. Be sure to check our website for current specials. https://www.nudetatu.com/redlands-scar-stretch-mark-camouflage

Is there any downtime involved? Most patients can return to their normal activities immediately after the procedure. However, it would be best if you always used a high SPF sunscreen after your scar removal treatment, and you will be given a complete list of post-care instructions.

How will I look immediately afterward?

Everyone's skin is different. Variables include age, diet, hormones, general health, overtones, sun exposure, etc., and so it's impossible to give an exact number of days it will take you to heal. Your skin will look inflamed right after treatment and can stay that way for a couple of hours. It will end up feeling like a slight sunburn or like your skin got some sun. For the first 3 days, you’ll be given strict instructions on minimizing inflammation, speed up the wound-healing phase. Over the next few weeks, the redness will dissipate and go through a variety of shades (from dark to light) until your skin heals. If you have had a traditional tattoo, the healing and aftercare are similar. However, you have a colorful/black picture covering up the healing process with a conventional tattoo. Still, the healing process is much more noticeable since we are using skin tone pigments.

Total healing time On average, it takes an average of 60-90 days, but if you're prone to hyper-pigmentation (you naturally scar dark), it will most likely take longer to heal. We can discuss and assess your skin's estimated timeline and variables during your consultation.

We’ll be in contact with you every step of the way

How many treatments are required?

Each scar revision and camouflage treatment is unique to the patient, and it will take a series of treatments at 2 to 8-week intervals to achieve the desired result. They will discuss your treatment plan during your consultation, including the number of sessions we recommend for your best possible outcome.

HOW LONG WILL THE RESULTS OF THE PROCEDURE LAST?

The Stretch Mark Camouflage Tattoo is a penetrative skin treatment that’s only been around for 6-7 years. According to our industry, it’ll last 5 years, or more provided that the correct after-care procedures are adhered to. You may or may not need a touch-up after 5-6 years. Remember, a stretch mark is a scar and so the skin is trickier to penetrate. In addition, as we age, all tattoos transition and change on our skin because there’s less elasticity and melanin production. This can affect your stretch mark camouflage tattoo, as well.

Who is a good candidate for Scar Removal?

Any individual who desires an improvement in the appearance of their scars, stretch marks, and skin discoloration is a candidate. However, certain conditions and skin typing may impact the treatment options that can be safely used, and pre-treatment care may be required to prepare the skin. At NUDETATU, we provide our clients with the highest level of care using the most advanced techniques and procedures available.

IS THE TREATMENT SUITABLE FOR ALL SKIN TYPES?

Generally, yes! However, there are a small number of people for whom the treatment would not be suitable. Your stretch marks and scars need to be at least ONE year old and completely healed. Before starting any type of Ink Camouflage (micro pigmentation), We would like stretch marks to be at least 2 years old and scars to be at least 6 months to a 1-year-old, depending on the scar. If Stretch Marks/Scars are recent look into our INKLESS Camouflage treatments instead INKLESS camouflage method may work great for you!!

CAN I GET THE TREATMENT WHILE PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING?

Congratulations on your pregnancy, but unfortunately, we cannot treat pregnant or breastfeeding women. We look forward to treating you once your little one is weaned and your scars have been fully healed (usually within two years).

Can I Get Tattooed If My Skin Is Already Tanned?

We prefer to match only your natural skin tone and require that our clients postpone their sessions until their tan has faded. This ensures that we can custom blend an ink color that will look most natural whether you're tanned or not.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I TAN?

If you over tan more than 6 shades, stretch marks may become slightly more visible but will get back as soon as the tan starts fading.

Your camouflaged stretch marks and scars will not change color. For example, if you tan, your skin's overtone will darken, but your stretch marks will remain the same color as your natural skin-toned ink tattoo. Overall, your stretch marks will still be camouflaged because the "white" is no longer there. In short, there's less of an obvious contrast.

STRETCH MARK CAMOUFLAGE TATTOO VS. LASER TREATMENTS?

While Laser Treatments do work on stretch marks by damaging the skin’s outer layer and forcing it to heal itself, they do not put color back into the skin. So almost all clients who get Laser Treatments for their stretch marks still have noticeable stretch marks. In fact, many of our clients have had many Laser Treatment procedures prior to walking into our studio. Another huge difference is the cost of that treatments. Laser Treatments could run $1,000 to $3,000 per session, and can easily end up costing the client over $10,000 overall. Will My Stretch Marks Ever Go Away? Many treatments have been created to eliminate stretch marks and marketed as successful. However, in most cases, stretch marks never really completely go away. You need to figure out what works best for you. There are treatments done by dermatologists or plastic surgeons that can dramatically reduce stretch marks' appearance. Some of these procedures, such as laser treatments, can cost a few 1,000 dollars per session and need upwards of 10 sessions to start seeing real results. Laser treatments can work well for new scars but may not be as effective for old scars. Microneeding and dry needling are similar to laser as the goal is to stimulate the skin to produce collagen to reduce scars' appearance. This option is more affordable and can see great results but does not add natural skin tone pigments back into the skin like scar/stretch mark camouflage. We don't have to; however, we do like to suggest combining the two treatments so we can try and heal as much as with your own collagen-building process before going in with pigment. If your scars are Hyper (darker) than your natural skin tone, both steps are required for camouflaging as we need to lighten and heal the skin naturally before going in with flesh tone pigment.
