How long does each session take?
Each camouflage session can take between 1-3 hrs depending on how large the scar is and the amount of hyperpigmentation the tummy tuck has. You may want to come back into the studio for a couple of additional sessions to blend the scar even more.
Does a tummy tuck tattoo hurt?
On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most painful, most clients rate the pain between 5-6 without numbing cream. We use numbing cream in our studio so most of our clients feel minimal to no pain

What do I wear for my session?
Once you have decided to move forward with the scar camouflage for your tummy tuck scar you might be wondering what the heck I wear to my appointment. Especially if you are also adding other areas to be camouflaged like breast augmentation scars, stretch marks, etc.

What will happen during the procedure?
The tattoo technician will use an electronic device that stimulates the skin’s natural healing process. Multiple pigment blends are injected into the skin to create a tonal variance of your natural color.
Easier aftercare procedure
After the session, make sure you limit your sun exposure. Although a camouflage tattoo lasts longer, it also suffers from the harmful effects of the sun. You wouldn’t want the tattoo’s color to fade quicker.

How long will the tummy tuck tattoo last?
It is a tattoo so it will be permanent. With that being said just as traditional tattoos fade this will too. Typically, a tummy tuck tattoo camouflaging may last 5-6 years before a touch-up may be needed. But remember as we age our skin thins and the fading of the camouflage tattoo works out well as it slowly fades and our skin thins.
